My educational background is in Study of Religions (M.A. University of Helsinki 2002) and in Sociology (M.Soc.Sc. University of Jyväskylä 2012).

I defended my doctoral thesis (Study of Religions, University of Helsinki) in April 2015. My doctoral research dealt with French debates on Islamic headscarves and full veils (i.e a burqa or a niqab) in the 21st century, and to be more specific, the discursive construction of national identity during those debates.

In my post-doctoral research at the University of Helsinki, I studied religious literacy in Finland.

Currently I work as a research coordinator in the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Helsinki, focusing on science communication and societal interaction.
